Heh, of course, that's what I really wanted. I did find CSdiff
(http://www.componentsoftware.com/Products/CSDiff/) which is what I am
trying to use. It is able to launch Word in its diff/merge mode (I
don't recall off hand what exactly the menu option is), but it is the
tool that doesn't seem to like the .svn-base extension.
