He's talking about the context menu, not the commit dialog. And the
context menu is generated according to the status of the selected
item(s).
Since 1.1.3, the context menu handler doesn't fetch the status itself
anymore but asks the status cache for it.

But please check the latest nightly build. I've committed a fix in
revision 2624 which might help here.
