Re: [TSVN] Windows Explorer Stalls

Thanks guys,

Great tools (Packetyzer/FileMon), it wasn't network traffic (although I
didn't expect it was ... my home PC isn't networked), but when I used
FileMon... whooaa !!

So much recycle bin activity !!! (when is MS going to hire real programmers
?)

I cleaned out the recycle bin and all is well ... I forgot to try running
without TSVN installed before clearing the recycle bin to see what (if any)
difference there is. I'll try it at home where I suspect the recycle bin is
still gorged (maybe the default recycle bin % size should be smaller in
these days of large volume disks if explorer can't handle it) and report
back if I find anything noteworthy,

Cheers, Paul

I recently had a problem with the Recycle Bin stalling, and it turned-out
that I had once made a file association to an application which was on
another machine on the LAN. After this *other* machine was rebuilt, I kept
having stalls in the Recycle Bin. Using Ethereal revealed what the machine
was trying to do, and I was able to eradicate the association.

I don't think there is a general problem with TSVN causing recycle-bin
problems, and I don't think there's any significant amount of code shared
between TCVS and TSVN nowadays.

Tools (both free) I would use to try and work out what's happening are
Ethereal, to see if there's network activity, and Filemon, to see if
there's any disk activity.
