The idea is good. But as you have noticed yourself (according to the
comments you made in your patch) it isn't really reliable if another
language than english is used.
I guess a better approach would be to pass the 'copied' information to
the log callback too, that way we wouldn't have to extract that
information again from the path strings.

So I propose that I'm rewriting the log callback, and once I've done
that you can try again to implement your feature.
Deal?
