Applying a patch is not done automatically (i.e. without starting
TMerge and have the user perform that task). Because applying a patch
needs to be reviewed. So we would have to start TMerge and not the
diff program the user selected.

AFAIK, the svn_client_cat() will have the required functionality in 1.2.
And I can promise you that such a change definitely won't go into
1.1.3 which is due at the end of this week - maybe in 1.1.4... ;)
