It was easy to reproduce. But I just spent the last three hours trying
to find the reason. Everything I tried didn't work. Until I realized
that the problems only occur if I select the icon set from Ryan Harris
at least once. If I don't select that set, the icons show up correctly,
no matter how many times I switch between them.
So I removed the icon set in revision 2187. The same revision also has
some small bugfixes for the icon chooser dialog in it which I found
while trying to fix this...
