You're thinking along the same lines as I do. Step one was setting the
FAQ admin address to the dev list, step 2 is hacking the "ask questions
on the FAQ".php file to send e-mails with the original subject. I just
didn't have time to do this today, hopefully tomorrow evening.

Unfortunately yes, because the FAQ doesn't know anything about the dev
list. Once a solution is found, this should be copied into the FAQ.
If you reply to a question from the FAQ, you should "reply to all", so
that the original sender receives a copy too (he/she doesn't know that
their question is forwarded to the dev list, so will probably not
monitor the dev list).
