I think it should be regarded more as a straw poll than a vote.
Terry Pratchett put this well (as usual), it went something like
"Ankh-Morpork was a Democracy with 'one man, one vote' and the Patrician was
the Man who had the Vote".
Sorry I can't quite remember the details, the Pterry fans will know what I
mean and those that haven't read him may be encouraged. Those that don't
like him are entitled to be wrong :-)

In the case of TSVN, as far as this goes anyway, Stefan has the only vote
that counts!
