Yes, but as I can't change my own status that isn't a very helpful
comment :)

I expect the original error that I posted meant that the forum system
hadn't yet given me the required permissions to view the forum I was
registering for.

I was pointing out that if you register as a new user, it's not actually
possible to see the forums due to errors on the website. That's probably
why nobody is using the forums (assuming that other people are running
into the same errors as me).

I don't think I did anything wierd - I just registered as a new user and
I can't see the forums. Which is a shame because I think the forums
would be a really good idea if they worked.
