Sorry, but I can't help you here. You didn't say _what_ error you got
when you restarted your server, you didn't mention which apache version
you're using, you didn't mention what the apache error log file shows
you, you haven't posted anything from your config file.
So as long as my crystal ball doesn't work right, I can't help you at all.
