You mean the parent dir of a working copy?

One problem: icon overlays are _very_ slow for semi-deep directories on
the network (I did notice the red warning in the options panel).
One of my higher-level directories contains ~6k files and ~1k directories
(but only 10 deep max). It takes ~20 sec to return (during which time
explorer is dead). Almost seems like it's refreshing every file in the
tree (even though they're not visible). Any way to improve this? My
files must be on the network. When I click one of the higher dirs, I
notice the explorer process consumes ~20% CPU, and my SVN server box has
1% CPU, 5% network utilization. Seems like it's not running at full
capacity. Can the results be cached or omit the status of non-visible
subdirs?
For smaller dirs (~200 files, ~35 dirs, still ~10 deep max) there's no
noticeable delay.
