Winzip and Winrar and other shell extensions which add a new context
menu usually don't add icon overlays and new status columns. Simple
context menu extensions are loaded as soon as a context menu is shown
and unloaded afterwards. But icon overlay extensions and column handlers
are loaded upon the first start of the explorer and then kept in memory
until the explorer exits too.
