Ok, so it's not in the FAQ - but it definitely should be: it's been
discussed a lot before.

The problem you're seeing is that the explorer doesn't really work as
documented. So telling the explorer that something has changed doesn't
always work. Also: TSVN doesn't really know which files were affected in
an update, so it simply tells the explorer to refresh the folder where
the update is done of - and sometimes that's not working.

Also: you won't gain anything if this would work. It takes the same
amount of time/disk activity as if you would hit F5.

Sure, it's not "unfixable" per se - but it would require a _lot_ of
tweaks and explorer hacks which I just won't do. The risk to break
something on older systems (or newer ones I don't have access to) is
just too high.
