RE: [TSVN] Q: Correct Use of Repo-Browser module of TortoiseSVN ?

Stefan,

Thank you for your reply. I have done a clean install of 1.0.7. The
behavior is the same.

I see your point. The message is clear now that you explained it. I agree
that it may be a good idea to remove that action for double-clicking in the
Repo-Browser.

A similar user-interface issue arises with the Unified Diff popup menu. If
the user (me!) foolishly selects one file and asks for a diff, Tortoise
happily generates an error message. That's fine, but the error message is
cryptic and does not really reflect the nature of the user's mistake.

This is an awesome tool you're creating. I am evaluating it for a
reasonably large and mature project, and I think Tortoise will give me the
power and flexibility I need!

Kyle

Can you please update to 1.0.7? I'm not sure, but it may be fixed ;)

You mean you doubleclick on a file in the log dialog? Then the error
message is clear: since you don't started the log dialog from a working
copy there is no working copy with which the comparison can be done
("compare with working copy" is the default action, i.e. the command
used on doubleclicks).

The log viewer works. Just not that specific command. I guess I have to
deactivate that command if the log dialog is started "without" a working
copy.

Nothing - just a stupid misstake of the developer of TSVN ;)
