There's no need to check that code. I know what it does ;)
No seriously: the code is very simple. All it does is check the version
strings if they're equal. If not, then the message about the new version
shows up.
You are a special user because you received an interim release (not an
official release) from me. And since your version hasn't been released
the version strings don't match anymore - and we haven't released an
official new version yet (but the program doesn't know that).
