[TSVN] Re: Call for TortoiseSVN translators

How can I test my translation showing up in Tortoise SVN?

Is there any method to convert into original format of tortoise svn?

I will be happy if it can be done without compiling whole sources..

Subject: Call for TortoiseSVN translators

Hi Folks,

this is a one time posting to the subversion developer and user list, since
I know that many TortoiseSVN users are reading these lists as well. Please
reply to mailto:dev@tortoisesvn.tigris.org if you are eager to help.

I converted all the existing TortoiseSVN dictionary files from
SmartTranslator's .dic format to gettext .po files. Some of them are partly
incomplete, because translations are missing or because I had to remove
(several Japanese) strings that broke the build. The SmartTranslator .dic
files are still there for reference, so you might be able to recover the
strings I deleted.

The current status of all the translations can be found at
http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/translations.html

Dictionaries exist for:
Chinese, simplified (complete)
Chinese, traditional (complete)
Danish
Dutch
French
German (complete)
Japanese
Norwegian, bokmċl
Spanish
Swedish

If you want to start a new language, you're welcome :-)

Hopefully now every translator can get started. Please read:
http://svn.collab.net/repos/tortoisesvn/trunk/src/translations.txt on how to
go ahead.

Cheers & thanks for your help
-Lübbe
