[Subclipse-users] Team Synchronizing and Commit Dialog bug

Below is my possible bug report. I did not see any obvious existing
issues but I'm new and don't know what I'm talking about, so mentioning
it here to get feedback prior to creating an actual issue tracker.

Title:

Team Synchronizing and Commit Dialog file selections do not match

Environment:

Subclipse 1.8.4

Eclipse Java EE (Indigo Service Release 1) Build: 20110916-0149

Expected results:

Files selected on team synchronizing perspective match files selected in
Commit dialog

Actual results:

Deselected files (from Team Synchronizing) are still selected and would
be committed in Commit dialog

Steps to reproduce:

Team Synchronizing Perspective

Synchronize workspace

Select All changed items in a tree

Deselect certain items (you don't want committed)

Right-Click > Commit

Files changed shows all items (including deselected ones) still checked
for commit and does not match initial selection

Speculation:

The commit dialog may be selecting all items underneath a parent node
instead of taking deselections into account.

There are obvious reasons why you would not want all changed files
committed underneath to be committed (built binaries).
