Renaming a tag does not change history, so it is not going to alter a
revision graph. A revision graph is going to show what was done at
that point in time, including the name specified. Depending on what
you do, the rename may also show in the graph at a later point in
time. But tags are typically only shown in the tooltips, so probably
you will not see it.
