ok, thanks. This view's default behavior seems to go agains my usage
pattern all the time. But we're not done yet: if I pin the history
view and open a new one, It seems to always try to pop up along side
the outline view - which is not where I want it.

Moreover, it would be nice (and right) if the (shortened) resource
name was also shown in the view tab of the history view
