RE: [Subclipse-users] synchronisation

Hi

Just as a little update - it took a while but I identified the problem
project. The issue wasn't caused by the volume of updates. The problem
is caused by one part of one project, I can update all the others. So if
I look at the history for that project I can see that one jar file was
altered, during a merge operation. If I just synchronise on the jar, it
crashed. I did an update straight on the jar and it updated something
and all was good again.

So I am left with a situation where my original workspace is working
again but I still don't know the source of the problem.

Chris

Subject: [Subclipse-users] synchronisation

Hi all

I have happily been running MyEclipse with subclipse for a couple of
years. My subclipse plug-in version information is shown on the image
attachment at the end of the message.

This afternoon, my IDE started to crash when doing a synchronise
operation. I would hit the synchronise button and it would start to show
me a number of incoming changes and then eclipse would crash. We have
about 100 projects across our system - when I synchronise with one or
two projects - it's OK. When I try a dozen or so, I get a crash with no
stack trace showing. All I get in the error log view is a error saying
that "Could not load repository template extension repository" for class
"org,eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui". I don't know whether this is the direct
cause or whether it is the number of changes or the presence of a
particular change in one of my projects.

Is there anywhere else I can look for stack trace / error information ?

I just created a new workspace and imported everything from the
repository by means a couple of team project sets. That was all OK and
is my solution and proves that subclipse is "working". I'd just like to
know why it started to fail on a particular set of updates. I don't want
to have to create new workspaces often !

Thanks

Chris
