The Subclipse merge dialog has not been enhanced to expose any of the
new capabilities in 1.5. There is no reason it cannot be done other
than taking the time to do the work.

The CollabNet Desktop, a free open source product, has developed an
advanced merge client for Subclipse. The home for this is here:

http://desktop-eclipse.open.collab.net/

The "Getting Started" tab links to some docs that explain features of
the merge client.
