[Subclipse-users] Problem with multiple "Check out project from SVN"

Hi everyone!

We are having a problem with checking out new projects from our SVN
server into a new C++ project. I have looked through the Issues list for
Sublcipse and recent posts in the mailing list and haven't found any
information, so here's my post.

We do following steps:

- File->New->Check out project from SVN
- then select existing repository location (our local SVN server)
- select some subfolder of our SVN tree (no .procest or other .* files
are stored there) and press "Finish" or "Next"->"Finish" to check out as
a project configured using new Project Wizard.
- select "C++/C++ project"
- press "Next", enter project name and choose a project type (actual
project type or used toolchain does not matter to reproduce the bug).
- press "Next" or "Finish"

When we do this process first time at empty workspace, next thin we see
after pressing "Finish" is a confirmation window "Confirm Overwrite"
with text "The project you created, <project name>, contains resources
other than standard .project file. ...". This means everything is fine
and after pressing "Ok", Subclipse would Checkout the contents of SVN
folder to our project. We can see SVN label decorations on project and
some SVN information in project properties. So, both CDS and Subclipse
natures exist for this project. So everything is ok.

But this happens only first time. When we try to checkout another
project using the same steps, it would fail. Failure means that it would
create the project, but it would have only the CDT nature, and just two
files, namely .project and .cproject. And nothing more. It would not
update the svn folder contents from server and it seems that it is not
aware that it should - no SVN information is in the Project Properties.

This issue is really annoying for we have to try different magics to
actually get the project updated. We trying to close all projects,
restart eclipse or Windows in arbitrary order, do some mouse gestures
while processing the described steps... It helps. Sometimes. It start
working - everything is fine. Until you are to checkout next project...

This happen on all the computers at our office.

Please help us!!
