Thanks for that - I see it now. As you rightly say, I must have turned
it on at some point. I am not sure what the involvement is between the
History view and subclipse but might it be possible for this view to do
nothing until such time as it is activated for the first time in a
session?

I use something called MantisConnect which behaves like this. The view
is there all the time but it only starts to set itself up when I first
bring it forward.

Anyway, thanks for your quick response on this. We are still awaiting
restoration of our server this means I can work normally again. Thanks
also for all the work generally that you do on this product.

There is a setting somewhere about linking the view with the active
editor. It is not on by default, but sounds like you have it turned
on. I think it is on the view itself but do not have Eclipse handy.
