Probably. You should be able to keep and use the same workspace though.

It may sound like finger pointing, but this cannot be the fault of our
plugin. I purposefully only provide Eclipse via a standard Eclipse
update site so that you have to go through the Eclipse install
process. This insures that Eclipse gets to evaluate dependencies and
update its own configuration file. (As opposed to a plain zip file
with the features and plugins). I can also say that our plugins are
pretty vanilla. They do not do anything before or after install that
is special or unique.

I've seen similar problems, not necessarily the same, when installing
plugins from eclipse.org into 3.4. IMO, while I think the new p2
install mechanism of 3.4 holds great promise, it was not ready to be
included in the general release. These problems are all too common
and there is no longer a body of knowledge available about how to fix
them.
