[Subclipse-users] Bug report: Small commits take very long on large projects

Hello dear bug report user group,

I am experiencing a strong performance issue when using the stable release 1.2.4 of Subclipse, together with Eclipse 3.2.2 (M20070212-1330) (bug the Problem may be with any release of Eclipse.

Committing a few items takes many seconds, sometimes about half a minute, while committing the same amount of changes with Tortoise or the command line client of svn takes much, much less time.

I am using the synchronize view with compressed folders, and I am committing using the right-click context menu.

The project is rather big, and the problem does not show up on smaller projects, so I expect that there is a resync or something like that causing the wait time.

Together with the "concurrent commit problem", which I will report in the next mail, this makes Subclipse somehow unusable. I am spending half an hour a day waiting for the SVN commits.

Thank you for any help or fixing of this problem.

Best regards,
