[Subclipse-users] subclipse installation problem

(NOTE !!! - Pl. ignore the last mail with the same
subject as the version info of Java and Eclipse I have
installed were not correct. I have corrected the same
in this mail.)

Hello,

I'm trying to configure sublipse through Help ->
Software Updates -> Find and Install option in Fedora
Core 6 OS.

My eclipse is having version 3.3.0 with
eclipse.buildId=I20070625-1500

But strange is, Eclipse is hanging whenever I select
that option. I don't know whether it is to do with any
pop-up blocker or not, still I have disabled the
pop-up blockers in Mozila Firefox. Still after that no
relief to me.

Another strange thing is that, though I have installed
successfully the jdk1.6_06, still it always shows me
version 1.4.2 whenver I use the command in shell. If
I go to root in su mode and execute source
.bash_profile, then only it shows me the correct
version as 1.6.0_02 but when exit from the su mode,
again the version becomes 1.4.2. This version 1.4.2 is
also seen in configuration details of Help -> about
Eclipse SDK -> configuration details
java.vm.version=4.1.1 20061011 (Red Hat 4.1.1-30) and
java.version=1.4.2

Pl. help me so that I could install the subclipse
without any problem.

Thanks in advance.

Amiya
