[Subclipse-users] Symbolic links pointing to unversioned directories

Hi everyone

First a note about my environment:

Eclipse Platform: v3.2.2
PHP Eclipse: v1.1.8
Subversion Eclipse: v1.2.2
OS: Fedora Core 6, Kernel 2.6.20-1.2962

I have searched the archives, and I see that this issue has been
discussed previously, but I don't see the solution:

I have a working copy of a project which is a website with
user-generated content. We do not want to version files (mainly
pictures) generated by users, to we did as the subversion book
recommends: we moved these directories away from the project and
replaced them with symbolic links.

Subversion handles this perfectly. The symbolic links are versioned, but
not the directories and underlying files they point to.

But subclipse seems to not handle symbolic links the same way. All files
within the symbolic links are marked as unknown instead of just
ignored.

Do I need to tweak a setting somewhere in eclipse? Or is this a bug?

/Jette
