[Subclipse-users] BUG: Subclipse problem with spaces in filenames when comparing with base revision

From: Russell Smith <Russell.Smith_at_latrobe.edu.au>
Date: 2007-07-10 06:36:26 CEST

Hi,

When running "Compare With -> Base Revision" at the project level, files
with spaces are listed as deleted and added. This does not happen when
running "Compare With -> Latest from Repository".

OS: WinXP SP2
Eclipse: Europa 3.3 (updated this morning GMT+10 time)
Subclipse: 1.2.3

SVN repository created on local file system using file:/// for access.
TortoiseSVN was used to the repository create repository, version 1.4.4

Fault is also reproducible with a https:/// 1.3.1 subversion server.

Example reproduction;

Inside Eclipse;

File -> New -> Project
  General + Project

Project Name: ZZ_Test
"Finish"

Create a new file in the project.
eg. "file with spaces.php"

Share the project with an SVN Server.

Right click on the project title and run Compare With -> Base Revision;

The Structure Compare with show
- file%20with%20spaces.php
+ file with spaces.php

This is the bug.

However Compare With -> Latest from Repository behaves as expected,
providing a "There are no differences between the selected inputs."
