If they can give any suggestions, we can look, but I cannot think of
any code we have that interacts at that level of the UI. We certainly
have code that could possibly filter out selections from the dialog
(theoretically) but the fact that UI has changed makes me suspect
something else.

Try to keep replies on list. We might have some Vista users who can comment.
