[Subclipse-users] Strange "Checkout project" behavior, next wizard does not appear

Using Eclipse 3.2.1, and the latest subclipse from the offical site
installed through Eclipse, and accessing a repository through HTTPS

Sometimes checking out a project works just fine.

Sometimes it doesn't.

Namely, when doing "Checkout new project from SVN", the dialog goes just
fine, I select a repository (in this case the trunk/ of my project), using
HTTPS.

Now if I select "checkout as project in workspace" and enter in a project
name, a checkout should occur. The trunk folder already has a nice .project
file in it, and once "import project" from SVN worked, but only once.

Anyways, 99% of the time nothing happens. Occasionally the project will get
checkout out.

If I select "Checkout as project configured using the New Project Wizard",
the new project wizard should appear.

At present, it doesn't.

Now one way or the other, I would at least hope some sort of error would get
thrown up so I could see what is going on, but nope, no error, I am just
dumped back the main Eclipse interface!

I have properly authorized with the server (I can browse the project just
fine...), and I even created a new workspace that does not have any spaces
in the name (just to be sure!)

I have encountered this problem on numerous PCs running both XP and Vista,
all of which are using the latest version of Eclipse 3.2.x and Subclipse
1.2.x installed by through Eclipse.

Now granted this only needs to work once per computer I use, but still...
:) Kind of a crap shoot if it works or not.
