OK, it's not my favorite either :-)
Given the Project-referencing ability in eclipse it might even make this
feature obsolete...just "shift" your folders one level up: one project is the
svn-checked out project and the other project is the local (non-versioned)
but referenced folder.

Thats maybe the cleanest way to do it.
