Hi,
thank you for your answer.

My first move about this was to think "wow, that's a lot of work". I am
used to tools like kdesvn that simply ignore non-versioned files.

Yet I have used subclipse a bit and now find this behaviour is actually
a lot cleaner.

The biggest problem I have encountered with subversion is creating files
and forgetting to add it to the version control system. Then the next
commit doesn't contain them and it breaks the build, making my collegues
rightly unhappy.
The risk is a lot lower with subclipse.

I would only suggest to explicitely indicate that a non-versioned
non-ignored file is present in the tree. The present indication is a bit
confusing, I find. (yet usuable once one is aware of it)

All in all I find subclipse excellent !
