If you use the latest Apple Xcode tools for compiling, it won't matter whether it is for Intel or PowerPC. Are you also including the JavaHL bindings as well? Just making sure! :-)

If you need any help with this effort let me know. I'll try to give you as much support as I can.

Another thing I'd think would be a good would be to use the Package builder from the Apple Xcode tools. It would even be nice to have two different installs. One for client only and the other with the whole 'kit and kaboodle'.
