I posted that same error to the list a few days ago.

I think my problem was that I compiled subversion while the older
version was still around and I believe it picked up some of the libs
(probably the dependancy libs, like neon) from the install instead of
from the source folder. The error went away when I removed all traces
of subversion and it's dependancies from /usr/local and recompiled
and installed the new version (and the new dependancy package) from
scratch.
