[Subclipse-users] commits hang often

From: Tedman Leung <tedman_at_sfu.ca>

I have a problem in which subversion seems to hang quite often during
commits and never times out. The only way to quit is to kill the entire
eclipse process.

The problem seems to be more prevailent on slower / long distance
connections.

I've had this problem under the following setups on multiple computers

Linux FC4 and FC5
Eclipse 3.1.x and 3.2.x
Subclipse 1.0.x and 1.1.9
Java 1.5 and 1.6

SVN Interface in eclipse is : SVNKit
My connections are always svn+ssh

I suspect the initial cause maybe the network connection but it should at
least fail gracefully and allow me to try again instead of having to kill
the entire eclipse process. I tried to get a kill -QUIT but I can't seem
to find the out put..

Anyone else have this problem and or a decent workaround?

Being normal is vastly over rated.
