[Subclipse-users] Show in... Team/SVN Repository

Hello,

It would be nifty to have an entry in the "Show in..." menu so that the
selected/current resource is displayed in the Team/SVN Repository view.
The "Show in..." menu can be opened in Eclipse 3.2.1 by pressing
Alt-Shift+W; it can also be found under the Navigate menu in the
workspace's menu, as well as in the context menu for all resources. It's
always populated with a "Navigator" entry. Java resources also have
entries for "Package Explorer" and "Outline." I think it would be useful
to have an entry to show a resource in the Team/SVN Repository, as I
find it easier to move around a repository when you know that "You are
here."

I think that the same rationale than for the Show in Navigator option
applies here; even though you can probably start all team-related
operations from the resource's context menu, switching to the SVN
Repository view gives you a more general (i.e. unfiltered) overview of
the resources that make up the context of the resource you are working
on. It also gives you a starting point for browsing other branches. That
being said, it would be very useful to have shortcuts to jump to
different occurrences of the current resource in other branches, which
maybe would only be available when in the Repository view.

PS: I apologize for not following the project's guidelines and opening
an item in the issue tracker before posting to this mailing list. Please
refer to issue #574 in the bug tracker.
