Might help to know what you upgraded from. I do not think JavaHL is
slower than JavaSVN for this, but can't say I have tried to measure it. It
is a mostly server-side and network task so there is not a lot of room for
one to be faster than the other.

You might check your prefs to see if you have increased the number of
revisions you are retrieving. My history was slow recently and I realized
I had changed the pref to get 500 entries as opposed to 25 and forgot to
change it back.
