[Subclipse-users] Subclipse hang at initial checkout on Eclipse 3.1

I am attempting to checkout the prepared ArgoUML Eclipse set-up and it
doesn't work. Eclipse hangs in several different ways and I have had to
end the process using the Task manager.

This is a reproducible problem for Eclipse 3.1.1.

I have had some similar problems with this also for Eclipse 3.2 but I
don't manage to reproduce it now that I am testing it again.

Here is what I do and what happens.

1. I have a set of files checked out using the command line tool.
2. I open Eclipse on an empty workspace.
3. I do File => Import
4. I select Team Project Set
5. I browse to the file argouml-core-projectset.psf (
http://argouml.tigris.org/source/browse/*checkout*/argouml/trunk/tools/e
clipse/argouml-core-projectset.psf?rev=11258)
6. I press Finish.
7. The Eclipse project argouml (first in the projectset) is
downloaded (takes 5 minutes).
8. Then Eclipse goes into waiting for something (the Back and
Finish buttons lights up).
9. If I now press Finish again, it is like if a new download shall
start, starting with the argouml project again.
10. If I press Cancel instead, the dialog disappears but it seems
like the job is not finished. If I try to exit Eclipse a Dialog with
"The user operation is waiting for background work to complete." and it
waits forever.
11. Now I need to fire up the Task Manager to kill the process.

I have included the log file from Eclipse.

I had expected the other Eclipse projects within the project set to be
downloaded, the Import Team Project Set dialog to disappear, and the
builders to start and eventually finish.

I think the similar problem for Eclipse 3.2 disappeared when I opened
the SVN Repository view and added the argouml project as a repository.
After that I have managed to check out the project set, also in virgin
workspaces. The workaround doesn't apply for Eclipse 3.1. Even if I add
the repository before-hand it hangs in the same way.
