[Subclipse-users] R: [Subclipse-users] Subversive to join Eclipse

Hello everybody.

I'm a happy Subclipse user since version 0.9.something, and I'm following these threads about inclusion of Subversion support in Eclipse with much interest.

For what I know, Subclipse is the most mature Subversion plugin for Eclipse, so I expected it would be this (Subclipse) to be submitted to Eclipse for an official inclusion. I'm sure it would have been a very good thing, both for the end users and for the project itself.

Instead now there is a proposal merging Subversive into Eclipse. I completely agree with Thomas when he says the most used plugin will be the one included into Eclipse, for several reasons.

At this point, wouldn't be it a good thing to have Subclipse and Subversive join into the Eclipse official platform, in order to get the best possible Subversion client for Eclipse?

As I said, I'm a normal user so I don't know anything about these open source projects, the people involved and any consideration behind them. So I apologize if this question is silly for some obvious reason I don't know.

Thanks for any consideration.

Best regards,

Fabio Da Soghe
