I do not need this solution - I need a reason since my behaviour is _reproduceable_ on my and another machine. So it is nothing random. There MUST be some bug which is not file-system related. We have no special installation here. Standard Java, clean eclipse installation, subclipse 1.0.1.

Is the strange behaviour of my eclipse somehow related to a subversion-server problem? I do not know. Maybe I should try to use a lokal installation.

For me, the question is, why does eclipse delete the .svn-folder in combination with the read-only-problem? There must be some reason to it.

Best regards Volker
