[Subclipse-users] Subclipse prevents refactoring

From: Markus Karg <markus.karg_at_quipsy.de>

For several reasons, we need to rename some packages.
So we're using the Refactoring-Menu-Item "Rename".
But it seems Subclipse sometimes is not willing to perform this:
Trying to use an unsupported feature

svn: Cannot copy or move 'C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Karg\workspace\Server\PartManager\src\de\quipsy\sessions\itemmanager': it is not in the repository yet; try committing first

It might be that there are technical problems that have to be solved, but committing (as proposed) is not acceptable, since this would mean to commit a source code that is totally screwed (we're in the middle of a large set of refactorings). So I want to add to the wishlist of Post-1.0 that there will be a solution to this problem, that is working without "committing first".

Thanks
Markus
