Mark,

I'll be happy to the to users list, but I'm moving jobs in the next few
weeks so my email id will be changing, so maybe I'm not the best choice. My
timezone is EST (GMT -5).

Subject: Moderators wanted for this list

OK, I am going to change the dev@ and users@ mailing lists to be moderated
so that we can get rid of the SPAM on these lists.

Before doing so, I need 4 to 5 volunteers for each list to moderate the
messages. The way the process works is that when a message is posted to
the list it is first sent to all of the moderators. If the message is
SPAM, just delete it from your Inbox and do nothing. If it is a legit
message, you just hit reply and send it. You do not even need to include
the message in the reply. It doesn't matter if several people "accept"
the message. We need multiple moderators to assure that messages are
accepted in a timely manner. People tend to repost their message if they
do not see it come through quickly.

I would like at least one moderator from Australia or Asia and one from
Europe if possible. Of course one or two from North America as well.

Please let me know if you would like to do this. If so, specify which
mailing list(s) you are volunteering for and also let me know what
timezone you are located in.

Thanks

Mark
