But if I do not store UID and PWD, don't I have to login again each time I start Eclipse?

So that you do not get this problem again in the future, you should go
back and remove the UID and PWD that is stored in Subclipse. You are much
better off if Subclipse does not have that information anywhere.

We need to go back and revisit those dialogs. The feature has evolved
over time and you really do not need to specify these values in Subclipse
any more, and frankly you are better off if you do not.
