Locale/format for $Date$

Upgrading from Eclipse 3.1M5 + Subclipse 0.9.31 to Eclipse 3.1 + Subclipse 0.9.34, I've noted that the $date$ keyword
expension has changed.

Previously I had dates like:

   $Date: 2003-08-15 14:40:55Z $

now I have dates like:

   $Date: 2003-08-22 15:43:24 +0200 (Fr, 22 Aug 2003) $

I dislike this last format because it's unnecessary long.

Is it possible to configure checkclipse to use a special locale/format?

Marc.
