Hi Alex,
it's the same with me. Those often prompts are truely a little annoying.
I entered user+pwd to the repo browser and use svn+ssh access, and
Eclipse 3.0.1
Subclipse 0.9.28
JavaSVN 0.8.5
Linux SuSE 9.2
