If JavaHL is working, you do not need the command line adapter.

Copying JavaHL is not worth doing, because you also need all of the
dependent libraries that it uses. Ideally, the path that all of the
libraries live in is just on your library path. I do not know exactly what
you would need to do to do this.

I would recommend installing the Metissian packages. They seem to handle
everything automatically.
