Sorry for answering via mail list - unfortunatly I have no idea how I
can add a comment to a scarab issue. I guess it is a question of having
the correct permissions but AFAIU I only have the right to query the
issues database and I can file new issues. Could anybody point me to
some docs or describe in brief how I can change my permissions? Help
would be very appreciated :-)

Anyway, I followed all your suggestions and the '>' doesn't disappear.
IIRC I always get it after the initial checkout when there couldn't be
any changes made.
