Are you using TortoiseSVN? If you have both TortoiseSVN and TortoiseCVS
installed, Windows XP runs like a dog, especially Explorer. Every file
delete causes all sorts of annoying stuff to happen - a simple file
delete can take 30 seconds. I uninstalled both Tortoises - I now use the
svn command line client and the Eclipse plugin to do everything, and
it's really fast.
