I think I figured it out. He had old copies of libeay32.dll and
ssleay.dll in his \windows\system32 folder. I am not sure where they came
from, but renaming them fixed it. I am guessing that javahl fails to load
when it gets the old dll's and then Subclipse falls back to the command
line mode?
