Subversion is almost at 1.0... I don't think we will see that many
API changes in the near future.

I would say the bindings are better to use than the command line
client. It's faster, more safe and should be more stable.

It's not that big a deal that binary distributions does not exist
for all platforms, as long as nice compile guides exist. These might
still be missing...
